How to measure ring size at home

When you buy a gemstone ring, the fit matters. If the ring is too loose, the stone may not stay in contact with your skin. If it is too tight, it will feel uncomfortable every day. Use the steps below to find your size, then choose the Indian size on the product page when you order.

Ways to measure your ring size

Visit your trusted jeweller

This is the most accurate option. A jeweller can size you with a steel ring sizer. Avoid plastic sizers when you can — they sometimes read a little large or small. If you can, wear the sample ring for a day to check comfort before you confirm the size with us.

Try trial rings on your finger until the fit is snug and comfortable, then note the size for our India chart.

Measure with a ruler

If you already wear a plain band on the same finger, use a ruler marked in millimetres (mm):

Step 1 Ring placed on a sizing stick next to a millimetre ruler.
Use a ring that fits that finger. Line up the inside opening with a mm ruler or sizing stick.
Step 2 Jewellery caliper and tools used to measure inside diameter in millimetres.
Measure inside diameter in mm — inner edge to inner edge, not the thick outer band.
Step 3 Professional ring diameter gauge marked in millimetres.
Match your mm reading to the Diameter (mm) column in the chart below for your Indian size.

Paper or thread (approximate only)

No ring handy? Use a non-stretch paper strip or cotton thread, then confirm with a jeweller if possible:

Steps 1–2 Printable paper or plastic ring sizer strip.
Cut a non-stretch paper strip (~1 cm wide) or use a sizer band. Wrap on the ring finger — snug, not tight — and mark the overlap.
Steps 3–4 Ring sizer strip wrapped and read in millimetres.
Lay the strip flat on a mm ruler: length = circumference (mm). Match that number in the chart under Circumference (mm).
  • Measure the finger you will wear the ring on, preferably in the evening when your hand is slightly warm.
  • On checkout, amounts are always shown in INR, even if you browsed prices in another currency.
